We're Gonna do it the Same Way Laverne & Shirley Did!

Were any of you die hard Laverne and Shirley fans?  I was! You know you're stuck in the 80s when your final blog for a graduate course is the theme song from one of the funniest and wittiest television sitcoms ever, Laverne and Shirley!  Yup, I am most definitely stuck in that 80s time capsule!  At this point of the program, I am feeling pretty stoked with completing the addendum.  With the constant support and encouragement from my cohort buddies, compassionate instructors, and the dynamite support team from my family, friends, and Gecko students, I am one page closer to the final turning leaf..as with all of you! Now I know that much work has to be done before we toast to an earned achievement but like the lyrics from the song goes, "Nothin's gonna turn us back now, straight ahead and on the track now, we're gonna make our dreams come true..."   Cheesy lyrics?  That's okay, I happen to like cheese.  hehehe...

The weekly sessions at the Reading Lab are going to be missed. For real!  Not only was I able to work closely with my student, I also learned from my classmates and Dr. Rivera.  Our debriefing sessions were therapeutic in some sense because we shared and exchanged experiences as well as added a dash of laughter along the way...much laughter and positive energy actually, and because of that, it helped me to keep the momentum going on those days I felt bombarded with the daily challenges of life.  So to everyone in this blog, to all my cohort friends/classmates, and instructors, thank you and I'll see you on the next leg of the challenge.  Almost there!!!
